On Wednesday we will continue our team time work and create action plans. 

We are 14 days away from the end of our 1st quarter.  PLEASE do not allow a family to be surprised by data on the report card.  It is your responsibility to communicate progress.  Power school grades must be updated weekly and never more than 7 days behind.  If you are struggling to manage communication concerning student achievement across the three dimensions, please ask for help from your team, instructional facilitators and administration.   

If you have students in your class that you believe might benefit from additional clothing, let Ms. McClellan know.  If you have some clothes you want to donate, let her know, as well.  

The Cross Country Club begins Thursday afternoon.  Please have participants remain in their "normal transportation" location (bus riders with bus riders, car riders outside). At 3:15 we will make an announcement asking students to move to a new location.  Ms. Marzullo will send out an email with the names of all participants.

Monday, October 8th

All hands on deck this week with Independence day.  Be kind and supportive to children and parents as we development  autonomy and ownership for our students.

STAND UP/STEP UP 

• WEEK 2: Acts of Kindness/Positive Notes
• CHALLENGE: Take note of students being kind and positive in whatever format is best for students. 

Prepare your  students and families for Picture Day!

Happy Thursday!

Happy Birthday, Mr. Faullin!!!

Jeff will be out of the building this morning, but will be with us tonight.

Tonight is the 4th and 5th grade Curriculum and Family CREW Night from 6:00-7:30.  

Thanks again to staff assisting with food and Crew activities! 

Please remind your parents about Independence Day...this coming Monday.

Send out your communication so students know to wear red, white, & blue...and parents understand that all students will walk from the front door to their class independently from this day forward.

I learned a lot at the Joint Principals meeting on Tuesday and am anxious to share tonight at our staff crew session.  See you all in the media center at 3:30.

Congratulations to Jenn and Mitchell on the birth of Miles Patrick Currin. Miles was 7 lbs. 9.5 oz and 21" long.  Mom and baby are doing great and getting some well earned rest!

Jeff is out of the office today at a Joint Principal's Meeting and IEP training.

  

Faculty Crew tomorrow in the Media Center from 3:30-4:30

4th and 5th grade Curriculum and Family Crew Night is this Thursday from 6:00-7:30.  Thanks for your continued support attending and helping during these nights.

    My name is Brittany Polk and I am the principal intern at Whitaker Elementary for the current academic school year. We are currently in the process of organizing a First Aid course to be held on our campus Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. This course would only be for First Aid only , not CPR. We have several  openings available and would like to extend an invitation to your staff to participate on a first come- first served basis.  Please have those individuals interested in participating to email me directly by October 3, 2018  in regards to registration and further details.
