Day 17...Today is a great day for personal reflection.  

• What changes would I like to make to improve my class (socially, emotionally, intellectually)?  
• What school-wide processes could be tightened or created to enhance the growth of our students?  
• How do I play a part in these changes?

Think about these questions and create 1 individualized PDP "SMART" (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely) goal.

PDPs are due by Sept 27th!!

     In a staff meeting Mr. Faullin said teachers did not have to attend an additional Curriculum Night.

Reminders:

• Please remember to turn off your lights and fans.  The fans can set off the alarms when items fall. 
• Field trips forms for the year are due soon.  Please coordinate with your team and return forms to Susan.

Curriculum Nights:

• K/1 Thursday night (19th)
• 2/3 next Tuesday (24th)
• 4/5 next Thursday (26th)

As stated in a staff meeting, please be present for your grade level, as well as volunteering for at least one other night.  

Your volunteering assists with greeting, preparing, serving, and cleaning.

Friday, September 13th

Su and Brandi are at an Instructional Facilitators meeting to;

• Plan strategies for utilization of our K-3 ELA diagnostic tool, I-station
• Understand and apply the accompanying intervention resources with I-station
• Develop a plan for an ELA and Math Diagnostic tools for Grades 3-5

Several times a day, students run by my office on the sidewalk outside.  They are often in pairs or small groups and unsupervised by staff.   My questions:

• Why outside?  It seems the hallways are more secure and safe with movement norms.
• Should we mandate/demand that our students who travel in pairs or groups without teacher support, MUST move within the safety of the hallways?
• How do we support students who need to use the restroom at recess?
• Does every mobile have a "student" exterior key for restroom movement?

I want to remind you all that I will be off campus on Monday and Tuesday as I visit my parents.  I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday the 18th.
