Today and Wednesday we will run the 2-hour delay specials schedule to accommodate the NC Check-Ins. (with one adjustment today) 3rd Grade will report to specials at 2:10. 3rd grade teachers will be in PLT at 2:15 as the specialists will support dismissal. We may escape the rain today and provide our students with some time outside. Be mindful of the new fencing surrounding the "bog." My thought for today regarding the 5:1 ratio
Consider the student who is tardy to school. If they have a ledger of interactions, what is the balance of positive to negative upon entering your presence? I would believe it is skewed to the negative and we must invest in that child to build the positive.
Enjoy this week of STEM & Assessments. Last week we used the words of Stacey Abrams to utilize our power to listen. Extend that conversation with your students and be intentional about the nature of your response.
Get pumped for STEM week Crew is getting a re-boot. Monday January 13th will be our last Crew session until February. We will provide more details of our launch and purpose at Staff Crew PD on January 24th.

A parent stopped me as she dropped her daughter in the car rider line on Monday morning to exclaim, "Thank you all so much for creating such a wonderful school! She couldn't wait to come back after the break." Your actions are constantly watched by students and teach a lesson more powerful than anything you have ever planned on paper. Who you are & HOW you are, builds our future. Keep up the good work and bask in the joy of each day!
