 Good Morning, let's make today a masterpiece!

ALL HANDS ON DECK is the call to have every single adult in a meaningful position to supervise dismissal today.  We want to encourage appropriate behavior through our actions.

5th Grade will celebrate and then go to skate haven.  Specials are to be coordinated between teachers and specialists.  Please touch base with one of them and/or your assistant to be sure kids are supervised if you need to leave the room.

Kathy continues to administer EOG make-up tests today and Friday?  She will be in The media center office so please be polite.

Friday is a work day with our assistants and a final year end faculty meeting at 1:30.  the building will be open from 7:30-5:30  for all of our work days.  Our work days begin at 8:00 and end at 3:45.

The EVAAS teacher linkages for the 2011-12 school year will be verified by your teachers once we receive the listings (from NCWISE) from SAS this fall. This is an important change from the last several years!

Your teachers who taught classes with state tests need to keep a roster of students they taught for reference when verifying EVAAS linkages this fall. We will set up a file designed for ease of correction that will have a relatively short turnaround time.

UPDATES from our PTA:

The yearbooks will be distributed on Thursday morning.  I have ordered a limited supply of extras.  If anyone wishes to purchase they can purchase Thursday morning in the lobby for $15 each while supplies last.

A last edition of the Brunson Burner has been printed and placed in your mail box yesterday.  Can you please be sure it gets sent home with students this week?  Thanks!

Be.engaged with your mix-it-up country.  Make this an amazing day for all.

I am at a Joint Principals meeting this morning and look to join you at Field Day in the afternoon.

Kathy is testing today in Mobile 40.  Please be polite and appropriate in that area.  We will have NO ALL-CALLS for that reason until the student has completed the EOG.

The Cafeteria needs your help!  If your class is doing any food event that will take them out of the lunch line, You MUST let heather know ASAP.  She needs three week advance notice for food ordering - and we know that is too late - but she also needs immediate numbers for food preparation.

Field Day Updates

It is our privilege to provide an amazing end-of-year experience for each and every student.  Field day is one of the days that "sticks" with students so let's create a memory that will sustain joy for years to come.

Joel has the following updates!


Lunch:

• BL refers to "Buy Lunch."
• Homeroom list of "BL" shall be created before 8:45.
• Lunches from home should be taken from homeroom to Mix-it-up classroom by student during the initial disbursement.  
• Mix-it-up country list shall be brought with you to the room.
• Mobiles will eat in the cafe.
• All others will eat in the mix-it up classroom.

Design Challenge:

• Each country will have two tables at each design challenge station.  
• Prepare them to work in teams to solve the challenge. 
• Faculty and staff are the leaders in this section.  

Hanes Park:

• Water breaks are not a full rotation!  If you spend 9 minutes getting water, you will miss the first game at yellow or green.
  

End of Day:

• We will all return to the mix-it-up classroom for "closure."
• An video announcement on channel five will end our day and then shift us back to homerooms for dismissal
