The teacher lounge in the Be. cafe has had the curtains removed (fire restrictions).  Check it out:
  • Teacher give away ~ on the left when you go in the room.  Please get anything or everything you want by next Wednesday.  After that, it will be trashed.
  • Help us keep this room clean.  Common spaces are shared by all and should be cleaned by all.  Let's model this for our students.

Leadership Opportunity:

We have been given five $1000 grants ($500 a semester) for certified employees to apply for additional leadership opportunities. This will be an application process.

Below is BELLT's initial discussion regarding the process.

Wonders from our meeting:

  • What tasks will leaders perform?
  • Would teacher evaluations be used as a selection tool?
  • Where will EL fit into this process?
Leaders should:
  • have relationships across grade-levels
  • support other teachers
  • make connections with families
  • have an accomplished or higher on the evaluation instrument
We encourage discussions about the stipend within teams.
