Please take the initiative and zip me an e-mail to become a Mentor or Buddy to our BT and new to Brunson staff.  I promise that your students will learn this HOC if you model it!

Let's meet this afternoon in the media center to share stories of success over these first three days. Circle up at 3:38 and we will finish before 4:30.

Tuesday, August 27th

HOC for the day is 

• RESPONSIBILITY - I can take ownership of my choices

I was pleased with our lunchtime performance.  Many thanks to Brandi and Su for supporting the student cleaners.  Continue to move through the trash line and out into the hall for efficient transitions.  My one suggestion for improvement, speed up the lunch line by supporting the cafeteria staff at the register.  If our student's do not remember their ID, we lose 30-45 seconds per kid.  If they struggle with the new keypad, we lose 15-25 seconds per kid.  Thanks!

If you get a new student, work with Sarah on transportation needs.  

Plan for a Fire Drill on Thursday.  We will try for the gap between 2nd and 3rd period so our first practice will be from their classroom. 

Monday, August 26th

The first day focus HOC = COLLABORATION

• Lesson Plan folders will be on the Google before Tuesday.

Attendance

• On the first day you see the student, Mark the attendance E1
• On remaining days 
• A for absent 
• T for tardy 
• Blank indicates present (if there is an E1 earlier in the week)
• Do not mark Tardy until September 3rd

The lunch room is set and I will be in there for all Lunches to support your seating and cleaning.  

• We only need 1 table washer and 1 sweeper per class
• Kindergarten and 1st grade assistant will assist with the cleaning of their sections
• 2nd - 5th grade students will be supported by admin in the first three days to set the tone for a safe and clean dining room

Time is vital for us to be Crew.  Be aware and set the tone for the year with CONSISTENCY.

Effective communication is goal for the daily staff blog.

We will consider and condense vital information for staff crew to serve our students. The words we publish are intended to connect and engage, and have maximum effect when read daily in the morning.
