The entire Brunson CREW (students and staff) demonstrated the Habits of Character yesterday, and confirmed the value of the work you have done this year. Congratulations!

I appreciate the attention and support at the CREW meeting.  Later today you will receive a e-mail invitation to choose a playground location.  Please respond by Friday.

We also confirmed room assignments by June 12/13th.  Please communicate with me your thoughts ASAP as decisions must be made.

From Dr. Stevens:
  • "We are at 68% ($686.00)  toward meeting our UNCF goal...If we could get each CREW members to give $5.00 per pay period using payroll deduction, we would exceed our goal. Thanks to the CREW members who have already contributed."

Thursday, May 25th

Thanks for the notices and wonders as we worked in CREW to discuss and resolve social and school culture issues.  More to come in our future meetings.

Two issues to be addressed at our CREW were missed due to the tornado warning are outlined below and will take the stage on May 31st.

  • Create an EOG culture based on our HOC.  We must lead our students to and lower the stress level in our classrooms and all common areas.  We also must lead each other and have adult conversations grounded in our HOC and staff norms.
  • This Year/Next Year
    • Be in the moment of this year while we are, "in the moment."
    • On May 31st we will delve into the changes for next year which have created stress and harmed our staff moral
      • Staff teaching assignments
      • Allotment
      • Room Placement
      • CREW structure
      • ELA curriculum
      • ??? I am sure I have left off a lot of "stressors" that each of you carry
Let's have an OUTSTANDING Thursday & Friday, then ENJOY the long Memorial Day weekend.
