Friday, April 27th

Adult Friday's are a full of anticipation for the weekend, coupled with the desire to finish strong.  What emotions comprise a student Friday?  I spent this morning reviewing our MAC book Practice #3 Managing Emotions.  My belief in, "staff culture leads student culture," compels me to intentionally work in this dimension today.

My weekend Anticipation is strong
  • Deer Tick and John Moreland concert tonight!
  • Job Fair Saturday
  • Rose bushes to plant and yard work
  • and of course, uploading artifacts for my evaluation on May 2nd
I hope your Friday is Magical as you lead kids to understand that this day has value!

Picture Day!  Demonstrate CREW as we all need to be on time and accountable for this experience to be positive for ALL.

Please celebrate our EBOB team as they head to the finals on Friday.  Regardless of the outcome, they are amazing examples of the Brunson Habits of Character and EL Education Design Principles

#6 Collaboration and Competition
Individual development and group development are integrated so the value of friendship, trust, and group action is clear.  Students are encouraged to compete, not against each other, but with their own personal best and with rigorous standards of excellence.

Kindergarten Open House is Friday Morning.  Provide a warm welcome our new crew members!

We are already short a sub on Friday for planned absences.  Any last minute situations will challenge operations.

Wednesday, April 18th

Welcome back Miss Marry Jones to our cafeteria staff.

Mr Kirby is scheduled for surgery on Thursday and I will go visit on Friday to deliver cards and wishes.  If you would like for me to deliver anything from you or your students, get them to Nelva before the end of Thursday.

Katie Welch is "owning" the Lost & Found space.  Please help her keep things neat and provide feedback if you have suggestions for improvement.

Take some time and read this interesting blog post from Larry Cuban.  What resonates with you?  What is dismissed as "impossible?"

Picture Day Thursday!

Happy 79th Birthday to my Mother, Linda Faullin!
