I am trying a new venue for sharing info from PTA Board meetings (instead of e-mail).
1. Parents enjoyed our STEM night though a few wished we had served dinner.
2. Mr. Faullin encouraged a larger budget for technology next year. Our equipment is aging and needs $ for upkeep.
3. We are searching for parents to help lead Grounds Beautification and Spring Fling committees.
4. There are 5 teachers working with 5 parent and 3 community volunteers. If you have volunteer needs, please let Jeannie Evans know.
5. We still have funds available for staff development. PTA will provide $150 for a teacher to attend a conference. The money covers registration/sub pay but not travel. You may apply for these funds every other year.
6. Mr. Sherman wanted to be sure all teachers were aware of the educator warehouse (located at Diggs-Latham), where you can get lots of free classroom items (1 visit per quarter).
