At Brunson, we ENCOURAGE you to nominate a WSFCS district CEY before January 12th. We will also work in Faculty Crew at the end of January to acknowledge and celebrate our classified employees with a protocol that is analogous to our Teacher of the Year nomination.
I am at the Joint Principals meeting today with the following agenda;
- the information below from the WSFCS CAC
- our action to comply with the district protocol

Frequently Asked Questions Re: Classified Employee of the Year (CEY):
1) “Should there only be one classified nomination per school/work location?”
2) “Should my school/work location conduct an in-house election and only submit
the name of our chosen CEY nominee?”
3) “I don’t work directly with this employee, can I still nominate them for CEY?”
4) “Can I nominate more than one person?”
5) “Can I nominate myself?”

Answer(s): Any WS/FCS employee (classified or certified) may nominate a classified employee at any school/work location for Classified Employee of the Year (CEY). There should not be any in-house election to submit one name as a chosen CEY nominee!! If you feel that the classified employee displays exemplary characteristics while carrying out the duties of his or her job and they have been employed with WS/FCS for at least one year, in a full or part time position, you may nominate that employee for the 2016-2017 Classified Employee of the Year! Self nominations are not allowed. You may nominate multiple classified employees, if you’d like, but please keep in mind that to thoroughly complete the nomination form, you must be knowledgeable of the employees work ethics and the attributes that they possess that would make them an excellent candidate for CEY. The criteria that may be considered for nominees are, but are not limited to the following:
● Employed at least one year with WS/FCS in a full or part time position
● Goes above and beyond their job description requirements
● Displays improvement
● Mentors others
● Takes on special projects
● Uses work methods to increase efficiency
● Displays outstanding leadership
● Reliable & Cooperative
