The United Way campaign has been extended until next Thursday, Nov. 10. If you’ve already donated, thank you for giving. If you haven’t, I hope you’ll consider donating between now and then.

The school system’s goal is $347,000, and we’re about 80 percent of the way there. The United Way invested more than $1 million in our graduation programs last year, and more than $3 million the past several years – so any money we give comes back to our students in tangible ways.

I know you are pulled in many different directions, but I hope you’ll consider giving to the United Way. Donating $5 or $10 a month adds up and makes a big difference in the United Way’s efforts.
