Wednesday MM - Day F

Good Morning!  I have a 7 am dentist appointment and will be in shortly.

I hope you all have enjoyed the first eleven days and have begun to build great habits in your students and yourselves.  We want to begin some duty-free lunch on October 1st, which is an A - Day.  The standard is for each and every student to know the PBIS lunchroom expectations before they are supervised by an adult other than their teacher.  Look over the following from our PBIS handbook and use a likert scale to rate you and your class.

1-never occurs
2-rarely occurs
3-usually occurs
4-always occurs

Student Expectations

1. Stand quietly in line until time to tell the Cafeteria worker what items you want to eat.

3. Know your student ID number so you can enter the number at the cash register. Have money ready if needed for a purchase.

6. Sit facing your table with your bottom on the stool and both feet on the floor.

8. Talk quietly with the classmates next to you or across from you at your table.

12. Quietly get in line along the Gym wall and wait for a teacher to dismiss the class.

Staff Expectations
1. Teach and model Cafeteria expectations.

3. Develop a plan to teach students their Student ID numbers and how to keep Cafeteria clean. Teach and review these weekly.

7. Monitor students while in line. Remind them to speak clearly to tell Cafeteria workers what items they want, rather than pointing.

9. All staff will sit in chairs at the end of tables to model and monitor Cafeteria expectations at least through September.

11. Dismiss students, one table at a time, to take trash following the designated pathway making sure that all tables are empty and clean in time for next class to arrive.
