Duty Free Lunch will be suspended today as Andy, Kathy & Lauren will be leading our Prospective HAG tour.

The Open Space group that discussed gum in the school came up with the following ideas.  If you want to comment on them or provide any feedback please e-mail Andy L-N within a week.

The Open Space participants want to provide teachers the ability to create the atmosphere in her/his room that is best for her/his students.  If gum helps them focus, chew on.  If hats work as a thinking cap, more power to you.

However, in our common areas (halls, cafe, restrooms, playground, stairwells) we would like our single school culture to take precedence.  As PBIS would dictate, our common areas need common expectations.

The general rule of thumb is to make sure you what happens in your room stays in your room.  Students are expected to dispose of the gum, take off hats, and share cupcakes BEFORE leaving individual classrooms.

Again - please send feedback to Andy and we'll provide more details soon
